Dark Money Funds Dark Policies

Residents are asleep at the wheel if they do not take action when informed that their leaders are selling public property and their rights to determine their future without asking permission. Centralized corruption built on decades of deceit must end by cleaning house, not sweeping it under the carpet.
Anyone who went along with wholesale slaughter of trees (while lecturing Brazil on the practice), removed public access to public lands, and turned public properties into enterprising private/public partnerships, is failing to serve the needs of the citizens they are sworn to protect and defend. Those leaders who knew something was amiss and did nothing about it need to be replaced.
A city that relies on the FBI to shine a light in the dark corners where money is accumulated to buy powerful allies that perpetuate the lies and false pretense city leaders are putting out is not SMART or deserving of praise. That rotten smell is not coming from low tide, it is coming from the towers, sidewalks, and streets that are sinking into the unstable landfill as sea level rise and options to correct past mistakes are fading fast.
